Welcome to the start of my journey to a better and healthier lifestyle! It's going to be a long and bumpy road, but I'm looking at the big picture all the way!
I decided from the beginning that I would attempt 30 minutes of cardio everyday. I will add some strength training later when I feel stronger and able to commit to an hour full of exercise.
Day 1:
Time: 30 minutes
Distance Ran: 1.55 Miles
Calories Burned: 206
Day 1 was an extremely tough day because it was only my second time on the elliptical and first intense workout since I don't know how long ago. I was not really feeling up to it, I was feeling tired, but somehow I was able to keep motivate myself with positive words and complete my personal goal of running at least a mile and burn at least 100 calories. I was so tired and burnt out afterwards, but I felt extremely proud that completed my goal and kept my promise to myself. I was also very careful with my calorie intake and made sure that I didn't go over a certain amount of calories.
Day 2:
Distance Ran: 1.60 Miles
Calories Burned: 211
I felt amazing today. It was just the second day of my fitness mania and after Day 1's impressive results on the elliptical, I felt hungry for more! As always, I didn't pace myself in the beginning and started to get tired towards middle of the workout (it didn't help that the elliptical kept increasing the level, making it harder!). I felt like giving up, but I told myself that this I've given up on a lot of things in my life, and giving up on myself was not an option. I powered through the rest of my workout and felt amaaazing! Sure, I was sweating like crazy, feeling extremely tired, but just the thought of reaching my goal made me forget about all those other factors. I was able to ween myself off the unhealthy foods I would normally eat and reached for more fruits instead.

Day 3:
Time: 30 minutes
Distance Ran: 1.78 Miles
Calories Burned: 231
I got home early from school and wasted no time in getting on the elliptical. Just something about working out in the morning makes it that more inviting. I changed into my workout clothes, did my hair, and got going on the elliptical. In the first 15 minutes, I couldn't stop looking at how much I had run, how much time was left and of course the calories I was burning. I admit that I was getting a bit frustrated that I wasn't seeing the results, but then I started to relax. By the end of the workout, I was so proud of the results I saw! If you look from Day 1 - 3, you can see my progressive results and I'm slowly but surely getting stronger and more motivated each workout.
